Charges were filed in Duncan, Oklahoma, by the Duncan Police Department against Mr. DeCastro. According to court documents filed in this case and in a related Federal case filed by Mr. Decastro, Mr. DeCastro was in Duncan in September of 2025 to assist a local resident with their court case and was captured on video not only taking a video/photographing the interior of several police vehicles in the City of Duncan Police Department parking lot, but also pulling door handles of vehicles in a possible attempt to gain entry without the consent of the vehicle owners.
In December of 2025, the Duncan Police Department filed charges against Mr. DeCastro for his actions in September and issued a Misdemeanor Warrant for his arrest. Instead of attending his arraignment, DeCastro attempted to quash the warrant using appeals to other courts, including filing a Federal Civil Rights lawsuit against a number of parties on December 18, 2025(DeCastro v. Duncan, OK et al (Dec 2025 Charges)). When over 6-months passed without the warrant being quashed, Mr. DeCastro hired an Oklahoma attorney who, in late August, filed a motion to appear at the arraignment on Mr. DeCastro's behalf.
Mr. DeCastro, represented by his attorney, was finally arraigned on September 23, 2026, and plead Not Guilty. The warrant was recalled and a trial set for March 22, 2027.
