Since the beginning of 2026, Jose DeCastro registered YouveGotBail.AI, possibly opened 2 Deleware corporations for a new venture, released a new website, solicited new investors and crowdfunded startup revenue. All this for a constantly changing 'technology' project that has ranged from an app providing bail to a simple social media app - with a 'soon-to-be-released' date is a moving target and has yet to arrive.
YouveGotBail.AI appears to be the 'technology' project DeCastro started promoting in 2025. Originally described as a subscription-based app, he made broad claims the app would provide bail, or find a bail bondsman, to get subscribers out of jail. According toReally Cool Newson their April 11thAuditing Insanity Podcast:
"DeCastro briefly stated that YouveGotBail.AI was now primarily a social media platform and briefly mentioned different levels of membership, with a distinction between a basic member and a member who would have the ability to be bailed out by the product."
Around May of 2026, DeCastro was still advertising on LinkedIn and during his YouTube streams for a Chief Technology Officer for YouveGotBail.AI, with job duties that appeared to be describing a project in the early UI/UX design phase. Unusual in the LinkedIn post was that it was made under the company name of "Ethics SCS, Inc" and claimed to be a company based in the greater Sierra Vista-Douglas area of Arizona. However, no such company exists in a search of the Arizona government buisness portal. We believe the company name used may have been hisinactive and suspended California corporation.
By June, 2026, the providing bail claim was not mentioned in many of his videos and appreared to be replaced with a claim that a GoFundMe would be organized on the subscriber's behalf. Also in early June of 2026, DeCastro opened a GoFundMe to raise as much as $25,000 to pay bills for what he claimed were startup expenses. He also stated that some of the funds might be used to pay process server costs for his pending lawsuit(s). That GoFundMe was terminated before reaching a goal that was later reducted to $15,000.
Many of DeCastro's supporters were led to believe that the app would be released sometime in late June of 2026 or "early next month" when DeCastro provided that information in a YouTube videos. In July of 2026, after raising several thousand dollars towards his goal, DeCastro announced that the app was being delayed and suggested that it could be pushed back until October of 2026, then later announced he had to get his social media app out soon but did not make any mention of the app having a bail component.
In the Youtube videos, below, DeCastro makes a number of claims regarding how the app with work, but all of options appear to require the subscriber to take action prior to an arrest. However, generating results to match the most recent claims may not always be possible. The main reason being that, upon arrest, a person often looses access to their phone and be unable to activate the app, thus preventing DeCastro from providing the promised services.
There is also a question as to the actual market size for the product/app. It may be appealing to those who have a strong reason, belief, or fear what they are doing (or may have done) will lead to their arrest. While DeCastro states he will be using the app for his own future bail needs, whether or not he will find enough subscribers so concerned or convinced that they will be arrested to support the cost of creating, marketing and running the service remains to be seen.
