On Febuary 26, 2024, Collin Campbell, Jose DeCastro's one-time business partner, filed for a Peace Order against Mr. DeCastro after Mr. DeCastro took to his YouTube channel, Delete Lawz, and made threats against him. A temporary order was granted and a hearing for a permanent order was scheduled for March 4, 2024. For more information on this case seeCampbell v. DeCastro (D-09-24-CV-809545).
It apprears that, after filing for a Peace Order and after the Temporary Order was issued, Collin Campbell filed paperwork requesting criminal charges be filed for a possible violation of the protection order. On the same day the Temporary Order was issued, a criminal case was opened and the records indicated probable cause exists. The charges appear below.
On April 29, 2024, a Notice of Appearance was filed when Mr. DeCastro hired an attory to fight the charges. A number of Motions and Request were filed afterwards. Sometime after our last document download on July 2, 2024, the case appears to have been dismissed and the court records removed or are now hidden on the Maryland Judiciary Case Search website. It appears that the prosecutor filed a NOLLE PROSEQUI to formally dismiss the case.
