DeCastro v. McKnight et al

On March 4, 2024, Mr. DeCastro again tried to sue the Defendant's from his failed Ohio Federal Civil Lawsuit, this time filing and claiming residency in Nevada. With his original case filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio being dismissed, and his follow-up appeal filed in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals being denied, this case was, as expected, transferred back to Ohio in August of 2025.

On May 8, 2026, the United States District Judge Michael Barrett granted the Motion to Dismiss filed by Defendants Wagner, Spoljaric, Blankenship, McKnight, Fouch, and the City of Ironton ("Ironton Defendants"). In PACER, as of July 2026, the only listed defendants are John Chapman and the Lawrence County Commissioners who also have a pending Motion to Dismiss.
